St. Catharines CA Elected District Association President

Anita Scholman Leads Local Chartered Accountants

ST. CATHARINES, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 19, 2011) - St. Catharines Chartered Accountant and prominent business leader Anita Scholman, CA, has been elected President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario's Niagara District CA Association. The District Association is the CA profession's local presence and organizes activities that benefit local Chartered Accountants and the community at large.

In addition to helping to serve, represent and provide fellowship among local CAs, the District Association also helps bring the Institute's many programs to its members, while also organizing important community events, such as tax clinics for people with low incomes.

Anita Scholman is a Senior Manager in Audit & Assurance with Deloitte in St. Catharines. Anita completed her under grad in Accounting (Co-op) at Brock University and has been a CA since 2005. Anita has over five years of public accounting experience. She has serviced a variety of clients including financial institutions and various private companies. Anita's focus is on assisting clients with their accounting and internal control needs as well as helping clients fulfill their regulatory reporting requirements. Anita is actively involved in the Niagara community and is also a board member of the YWCA.
