Sta-Kleen Erasable Urethane Upholstery Cleans With Simple Dry-Erase Action

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - May 24, 2010) -  New Sta-Kleen™, the industry's first truly erasable urethane upholstery, takes ease of maintenance and everyday cleanup to a new level with a proprietary bonding process that cross-links a stain shield into the performance fabric. The high-style urethane fabric surpasses all other polyurethane fabrics, faux leathers and vinyl upholstery by resisting penetrating marks and stains and wiping clean with a dry cloth.

Ideal for high-traffic commercial applications in hospitality, healthcare, office, institutional and marine settings, Sta-Kleen urethane upholstery can easily be cleaned over and over again without damage to its hand or appearance. The dry-erase urethane reduces maintenance time and expense, and creates cleaner, fresher looking interiors.

Since the urethane upholstery lasts for the life of the furniture, designers can specify Sta-Kleen knowing that damaging stains like ballpoint pen and permanent marker will never detract from the aesthetics of their design. Other tough stains like mustard and Betadine® and other topical antiseptics that permanently stain other urethane upholsteries can also be wiped away from Sta-Kleen urethane upholstery with no compromise to the color or pattern.

Sta-Kleen performance fabric can be kept looking showroom new by following these simple cleaning instructions:

Day-to-day Soil - Remove ordinary dirt and smudges with mild soap and water. Dry with a cloth or towel. Conditioners or protectants are not required or recommended for use on Sta-Kleen urethane upholstery.

Difficult Stains - Upholstery protected with Sta-Kleen is resistant to most common stains. To minimize any problems from stains, it is recommended that all stains be immediately cleaned as follows:

Dry stains such as ballpoint pen or permanent marker can be dry-erased with a clean, lint-free cloth. Rub the area until the stain has been removed. If a ghost stain remains, apply household rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) to a clean, lint-free cloth and rub the stain until it has been removed. Wipe the cleaned area of the urethane upholstery with clear water and dry the surface to remove any remaining cleaning solution.

Wet or gooey stains like ketchup or mustard should first be wiped off with a clean cloth or sponge, then follow the instructions above.
