Stable Housing Market in Peterborough


TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 14, 2012) - According to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's (CMHC) Spring Housing Market Outlook report for the Peterborough Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) prices will remain relatively flat in 2012 and 2013. In the resale market sales will decrease slightly in each of the next two years. Housing starts will increase in 2012 and 2013 with more single-detached homes being constructed.

"Housing demand will remain steady into 2013 due to growing employment, in-migration and low mortgage rates", said Anthony Passarelli, CMHC Market Analyst for the Peterborough CMA.
