Stackla Lands in the US With Offices in New York and San Francisco, and a Hootsuite Partnership

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 13, 2015) -  Stackla, a social content platform that helps marketers put user-generated content at the heart of brand experiences, is now live in the US. Stackla, founded in Sydney, Australia in 2012, recently opened offices in San Francisco and New York, and has a London office as well.

Stackla also announced a partnership with Hootsuite, the world's most widely used social relationship platform, that will allow Hootsuite users to tap Stackla's content marketing tools from within their Hootsuite dashboard. Once social content is sent to Stackla using the plugin, users can leverage the full breadth of the Stackla platform -- including content curation, social competitions, moderation and customizable display options.

More than 500 top brands -- including Red Bull, McDonald's, Toyota, Target, Citibank, Vogue, and QANTAS -- currently use Stackla to power social campaigns across the world, on the web and offline in branded activations.

"Moving our HQ from Sydney to San Francisco was a natural evolution for Stackla, and we're already seeing a dramatic perception shift by customers who are understanding how we can help transform their campaigns on a global scale," said Damien Mahoney, founder and CEO, Stackla. "Reach and engagement rates on traditional ads slip each year, yet ad budgets continue to rise. We've proven that consumers are more heavily influenced by those within their own networks, rather than brands themselves -- which means it is imperative that brand messages have a consumer voice front and center. We're thrilled to bring these learnings to the US."

Stackla solves a key problem for digital marketers. Consumers have learned to tune out branded content and traditional advertising, but continue to rely on word of mouth from friends and family when making brand decisions and purchases. Stackla lets brands and agencies curate and publish the best content from across the social web, helping to put user-generated content at the heart of brand marketing campaigns.

Stackla's new Hootsuite plugin -- available for download in Hootsuite's App Directory -- allows Hootsuite users to re-publish and repurpose tweets on any platform of their choosing as if they were using Stackla's social content system. The integration also allows users to push content from Twitter into Stackla for further review or publish directly to any Stackla display.

"It's no secret consumers trust each other more than they trust branded content, and partnering with Stackla opens up so many new opportunities for Hootsuite customers," says Kevin Zellmer, global director of enterprise business development at Hootsuite. "Content curation is crucial for digital marketers to provide relevant content for their followers. With this integration, users can discover and publish this content to widgets, apps, event screens and more."

This paired system has already been trialed by a number of clients, including the City of Sydney who used the system during last year's New Year's Eve ceremony to efficiently find, filter and display Tweets on the Sydney Harbour Bridge in real time.
