Stadium Entertainment Business Model "Charitainment" Embraced by Industry

NASHVILLE, TN--(Marketwire - September 20, 2010) -  Stadium Entertainment Holding, Corp. is forging a new business model in the music industry, attaching permanent and dedicated income streams to charitable organizations on all products or services offered by them. In addition, the model is catching on with imitation becoming the most sincere form of flattery as Stadium Entertainment's distributor EMI and its NOW partners announced that they will be donating a stream of the title's, which they released in June, income to the Wounded Warriors Association. This is news that Camille Barbone, President of Stadium Entertainment, is delighted to receive: "We couldn't be more pleased that businesses, large and small, begin to give back and join forces in ongoing community service and philanthropy." Barbone goes on to refer to this burgeoning movement as "charitainment," which she defines as the fusion of standard industry practices with long term fundraising and support for charitable and community organizations.

The combined promotion from both My Country: Smash Hits and Patriotic Now illustrates how a new marketing "category" develops when similar products are released in proximity of each other. "It is just like Planet Hollywood opening near a Hard Rock Café or a Home Depot springing up right near a Lowes. In addition, a company can participate without changing or disrupting long term objectives and goals or increasing overhead. I would love to see retail stores dedicate a section to 'good works' musical and DVD projects and even have print and online trade publications create sales charts as well," adds Barbone.

Music compilations, a type of product with a mixed retail reputation, continues to gain more power and respect in the retail world as evidenced by the commercial success of the "NOW" series. In that tradition, My Country: Smash Hits contains hit songs from artists such as Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Keith Urban and Blake Shelton, just to name a few and it is a perfect holiday shopper's bargain. However, beyond that is the good feeling one gets from giving to a charity such as Fisher House. This makes "Charitainment" a win/win for all; a valuable piece of product, a very low price and a donation to a worthy and reputable charity. Unlike Patriotic Now, My Country: Smash Hits contains songs about life and about the normal everyday experiences that take on new meaning when an individual has dedicated his or her life to military service and what happens to that life when injuries and illness occurs and must be handled.

The relationship Stadium has with its charity partners is ongoing and intimate. Fisher House, as the sole recipient of a dedicated income stream on My Country: Smash Hits, gives input and approvals to Stadium on all decisions on the project. Stadium takes into consideration the non-profit's profile, message and mission and does not in any way stray from or detract from the goal or philanthropic profile of Fisher House, which is to build "comfort homes" on military bases and near veteran's medical facilities for active and retired military and their families to live at, free of charge, while being medically treated or rehabilitated.
