LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 1, 2011) - Stamps.com® (
"Our new Version 8.9 software allows shippers to cut costs by enhancing our Priority Mail® offering to include new discounted rates for shipments traveling shorter distances and adding more convenient support for packages bound for military addresses," said Stamps.com President and CEO Ken McBride. "We recently announced a 111% increase in our total second quarter postage printed for our high volume shipper segment, and the new Version 8.9 will enhance our shipping features even more."
Key features of Stamps.com PC Postage Version 8.9 are:
Priority Mail Regional Rate Boxes -- This new feature gives customers the ability to print shipping labels for Priority Mail Regional Rate Box A and Box B. Priority Mail Regional Rate Boxes are a great way for package shippers to lower their costs when shipping short distances. In comparison to the Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box, Regional Rate Box A can offer savings up to $5 per package, providing small business owners significant opportunities to improve their bottom line. Additionally, the USPS provides Regional Rate Boxes to customers for free, creating an additional opportunity to cut costs.
APO/FPO Customs Form Support -- This new feature gives customers the ability to electronically complete and print Customs forms when printing postage for all applicable military addresses (APO/FPO) and U.S. Territories. Stamps.com automatically imports the delivery address into the Customs form, which helps customers save time by eliminating manual data entry.
Print Postage on Avery 5160 Address Labels -- This new feature supports the ability to print postage onto an Avery 5160 address label. The Avery 5160 label is the most popular mailing label in the office category and a common choice for consumers who print mailing addresses using personal computers. Stamps.com customers can now print USPS-approved postage for any denomination and mail class on the Avery 5160 label.
