Stanbridge East tennis court revamped

Government of Canada supports community project of Monteregie municipality


STANBRIDGE EAST, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 17, 2016) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Key local stakeholders have long been asking for concrete, sustainable measures to improve community and recreational infrastructure. The Government of Canada is proud to invest in projects such as this one by Les Loisirs de Stanbridge East Sports Association, which contribute to the strength and vitality of all regions of the country.

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, the Honourable Denis Paradis, Member of Parliament for Brome-Missisquoi, was in the Montérégie and took the opportunity to announce that Les Loisirs de Stanbridge East Sports Association Inc. has been granted $10,040 in financial assistance, in the form of a non-repayable contribution, under the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP150).

The support will enable the organization to resurface the municipal tennis court and add a storage module so that it can be converted into a multisport court that can also accommodate ball hockey.
