Stanley Black & Decker's Film by Tribe Pictures Is Award Winner

CHATHAM, NJ --(Marketwire - July 18, 2012) - Tribe Pictures announced that its video production of Stanley Black & Decker's brand film, "Symphony," created for Stanley's online Year in Review, has won awards in FIVE international competitions: a Gold Award at the 42nd Creativity International Awards; the Award of Excellence at the 2012 Communicator Awards; the Silver Award at this year's annual Questar Awards; a Bronze Award at the 33rd Telly Awards; and a Silver Screen award at the U.S. International Film and Video Festival.

Kate Vanek, Vice President of Investor Relations, challenged Tribe Pictures to illustrate the global impact of its products in everyday life. The company's brands are recognized globally, but Vanek wanted viewers to taste its leadership across their entire industrial portfolio.

Vern Oakley conceived and produced this branding project, employing the creative skills and global resources of Tribe. "The opportunity for us was showcasing these industrials tools, hardware and services in more human terms, what they can mean emotionally and how important they are to customers' lives all over the world," said Oakley.

Oakley assembled an all-star team to work on the project. He enlisted internationally acclaimed cinematographer/director Michael Spindler, filming Stanley Black & Decker's customers and facilities in China, Brazil, France, and throughout North America. The narrative script was written by Oakley, David Kane and Betsy Petropolis, produced by Felicia Jameson and Chris Holt, and edited by Ray Quaranto. Future Perfect Music wrote an original score.
