Star Analytics Launches the Star Command Center for Microsoft Windows Azure

Delivers a Cost Effective Automated Solution to Deploy, Manage, Run and Scale Applications From the Cloud

SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwire - February 15, 2011) - Star Analytics, Inc., the leader in application process automation and integration software, today announced the Star Command Center Cloud Service for the Microsoft Windows Azure Cloud platform. The solution provides an easy and cost-effective way for enterprises to address the explosion of business intelligence, hosted and legacy applications spanning private and public Clouds and on-premise applications.

The Star Command Center is used by enterprises across major industries to manage and automate disparate reporting, planning, and analysis environments with applications, data warehouses and business intelligence tools from multiple vendors. By orchestrating interoperability between on-premise and Cloud applications on the Windows Azure Cloud platform, the new edition will allow users to accelerate business decisions by accessing time-sensitive automated application processes using mobile phones, tablets or PCs.

Windows Azure offers a simple, reliable and powerful Cloud computing platform that enables customers to focus on business opportunities as opposed to operational hurdles. Windows Azure provides developers with on-demand compute and storage to host, scale and manage services on the Internet through Microsoft data centers.

"Automation is critical to reducing the cost and complexity of deploying, managing, and running Finance and Business Intelligence applications in the Cloud, and we're pleased to extend these benefits to customers in collaboration with Microsoft," said Quinlan Eddy, CEO, Star Analytics. "The Star Command Center offers tremendous cost savings over traditional home-grown and traditional job scheduling tools by metering Cloud Computing resources on an as-needed basis."

"Microsoft is excited to be working with Star Analytics to provide a new class of applications to our enterprise customers," said Aashish Dhamdhere, senior product marketing manager, Windows Azure, Microsoft. "Integrating the Star Command Center with Windows Azure provides a path for our customers to easily scale across on-premise applications and the Cloud."

With its automation repository, the Star Command Center Cloud Service removes the costly burden of redundant, hard-wired, scattered scripts and automation files from multiple application server machines to a single, secure Cloud location. Using secure (HTTPS) real-time streaming of dynamic, variable driven automation files, processes can be chained together across multiple Cloud or on-premise instances of finance application servers. This maintains the integrity and governance of on-premise applications and data and provides a secure Cloud solution for business users to run, manage and monitor automations via real-time alerts on their web enabled dashboards and Smartphones.

Experience it Live!

A live connection to the Star Command Center Cloud Edition is now available to demonstrate using Smartphones or other web enabled devices. Availability on Microsoft Azure is planned for later this quarter. To find out more, visit: http://www.staranalytics.com/products/command_center_cloud.htm.
