Star Analytics Streamlines Management of Business Intelligence Environments With Star Command Center 3.0

Most Affordable and Efficient Way to Synchronize Processes and Data Using Any Device or Desktop to Accelerate Business Decisions

SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 19, 2011) - Star Analytics, Inc., the leader in application process automation and integration software, today announced the availability of Star Command Center 3.0, a software platform that allows business users to run and monitor multi-vendor Business Intelligence (BI) environments from anywhere. The new release offers enhancements in areas such as automation compliance and auditing, expanded compatibility with legacy IT systems and enhanced data validation capabilities -- all within a single, easy-to-use mobile dashboard.

Enterprises across industries use the Star Command Center to automate applications and processes that co-exist across Cloud and on-premise computing environments without maintaining complex code or tying up highly-skilled IT staff. In addition to a rich user experience across smartphones and web-enabled devices, the enhancements are also available using the Star Command Center Cloud Service for the Microsoft Windows Azure Cloud platform (see press release).

Ideal for Complex BI Environments

Star Command Center 3.0 offers an affordable, easy-to-use solution for companies that want to maximize user productivity across a variety of BI applications and tools from multiple vendors, including Oracle, SAP and Microsoft.

According to a SearchBusinessAnalytics 2010 Reader Survey* of companies with more than one BI application, many organizations plan to maintain hybrid BI environments. Nearly half the respondents -- 47% -- said their companies do not have plans to change anything over the next five years.

"Business and IT professionals need a solution to orchestrate processes across a multitude of BI systems," said Quinlan Eddy, founder and CEO, Star Analytics. "The old-school approaches of custom scripts and legacy IT scheduling tools no longer address the automation requirements that co-exist on-premise and in the Cloud. Star Command Center helps CIOs bridge the gap, allowing all the systems to operate in a secure and cost-effective fashion."

What's New in Star Command Center 3.0

Key enhancements include:

  • Seamless integration with existing technology -- Query and manage application processes and leverage a wider range of traditional scheduling applications such as UC4, CA AutoSys and BMC Control M. Also includes expanded Web Services support for all major BPEL engines including Oracle BPEL Process Manager, Microsoft BizTalk Server and SAP NetWeaver.
  • Improved data validation -- Couple data validation with intelligent process automation to eliminate manual data reconciliation.
  • Comprehensive auditing -- Detailed change history of all automation components and resources with full event history by user, process and environment.
  • Enhanced user interface -- Tabbed document views, expanded search, multi-user editing of automation objects, and archiving to restore processes and file resources.
  • Supports large BI user communities -- New productivity packs for Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), IBM Cognos and QlikView.

Star Command Center 3.0 is available immediately on all platforms. New subscription and perpetual based pricing supports a range of footprints, from small departmental solutions to an entire enterprise.
