STAR-ISMS(R) Lite Provides Flight Tracking on "Around the World in 30 Days"

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 24, 2014) - Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SNA) ("Star" or the "Company"), is pleased to announce that it has provided the use of a STAR-ISMS® Lite tracking system and supporting services to the Fly around the World in 30 Days effort (www.flyaroundtheworldin30days.com). The system has been installed on a single engine Beechcraft Bonanza that is travelling around the world in support of education for under-privileged children in the Third World. The aircraft is piloted by 17 year old American born Haris Suleman, of Plainfield, Indiana, who is the pilot-in-command. His father is assisting him as co-pilot.

STAR-® ISMS Lite, powered by TROO Corp of Ottawa, is providing flight following and 2 way text messaging, which are especially useful on oceanic routes where there is no means of tracking such a small aircraft. Even today's modern passenger jet pilots frequently fall out of radio contact with air traffic controllers in a host of remote spots in the world, and airlines often cannot track their planes in large areas of global air space.

Star has already monitored/tracked their flights over the Atlantic Ocean, from Goose Bay, Labrador to Reykjavik, Iceland, and on to London's Biggin Hill Airport. Along the way, they encountered strong tail winds, turbulence and harsh weather conditions. They proceeded from Biggin Hill to Rome today.

Mr. Babar Suleman said in his recent statement, "We plan to use the communication with our dispatcher to keep us abreast of weather conditions, tracking our flight status and other information related to our upcoming destination airports. Since our dispatcher will have access to our exact location, speed and altitude, they will be able to make our arrival arrangements or suggest deviations to alternates in real time. The texting capability will allow us to communicate with them and have the confidence of knowing that we are in good hands. With recent Malaysian MH-370 incident, for safety reasons we wanted to be in contact at all times with ground control, allowing them to provide us vital assistance while flying through various destinations around the globe."

Viraf S. Kapadia, Chairman and CEO of Star said,

"We are very pleased to be able to assist this challenging and worthy endeavour. It has often been said that our future is in our children, and this young man is proving the truth of that saying. Being able to add to his safety and to contribute to proper flight decision making makes the Star team proud."
