Star Navigation and Royal Airways sign Letter of Intent

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 9, 2005) - Star Navigation
Systems Group Ltd. ("Star Navigation") (TSX VENTURE:SNA), a developer of
innovative and leading edge systems in flight safety and fleet
management, announced today that Royal Airways has executed a letter of
intent (LOI) to purchase its flagship product, the In-flight Safety
Monitoring System. Boeing Co. will be delivering Next-Generation
737-800's, and Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. will be installing the
In-flight Safety Monitoring System. The airline has also chosen Star
Navigation to manage all real-time data monitoring from its Toronto
operations center.

Earlier this year, Royal Airways, the only listed airline company in
India announced the launch of its new brand - SpiceJet. The Company has
placed an order for up to 20 Boeing next generation 737-800 airplanes.
The deal is worth $1.26 billion at current list prices. With a young,
modern fleet, SpiceJet is surging ahead of its competitors by
implementing cutting edge technology. Under the leadership of its CEO,
Mark Winders, Royal Airways is managed by a professional team with
significant experience in the industry. Royal Airways' selection of the
In-flight Safety Monitoring System, along with the recent endorsement
from the Government of India, affirms Star Navigation's position as a
leading provider of flight safety and fleet management systems.

Roger Page Executive Vice President stressed on the airlines' plan to
use the latest in established and proven airline systems and a modern
fleet. "Using the latest technology is the only way you can ensure we
can provide attractive pricing without compromising on quality. Driving
a low cost structure, boosting productivity and delivering value will be
our focus," he said.

India's burgeoning airlines are expected to order over 200 new aircraft
in 2005, and investment in the sector is set to rise to over $6.6
Billion. Star Navigation is currently in earnest discussions with all
the other Indian airline operators, and this strong vote of confidence
from Royal Airways, along with the endorsement from the Government of
India adds significance to our sales efforts in India and the region. A
formal agreement is expected to be signed later this month.
