Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd.: In-flight Safety
Monitoring System Receives Government of India
Endorsement

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 2, 2005) - Star Navigation
Systems Group Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SNA)("Star Navigation"), a developer of
innovative and leading edge systems in flight safety and fleet
management, announced today that the Government of India has endorsed
its flagship product the In-flight Safety Monitoring System. The
Director General of Civil Aviation in India (DGCA) has certified that
the In-flight Safety Monitoring System achieves and exceeds the current
mandatory regulations for aircraft data monitoring and analysis.

The DGCA of India has mandated the daily monitoring of data for all
airlines operating in India. The In-flight Safety Monitoring System
provides real-time monitoring of all critical in-flight data and
complies with the regulatory requirements of Circular No AIC 2/2004.
This mandatory requirement, as dictated by the DGCA Circular No AIC
2/2004, makes it necessary for all airlines operating in India to
install a monitoring system such as the In-flight Safety Monitoring
System for every single aircraft in their fleets. The endorsement from
the DGCA also states that the In-flight Safety Monitoring System
improves upon the current mandate with 'novel features for improvement
in safety'.

Air Passenger Carriers, operating in India, are expected to order over
200 new aircraft in 2005, and the domestic airline industry has seen
traffic increase over 20 percent from the previous year. In the next 12
months, the Indian aviation sector expects to see a growth rate of 25%
with expected investment in the industry surpassing US$6 Billion. Five
new air carriers are expected to make their debut over the coming
months. Star is currently in earnest discussions with all the Indian
airline operators, and this endorsement by the Indian Government will
illuminate our products and enhance our stature throughout the industry.
