Star Navigation Systems: In-flight Safety Monitoring
System featured on the Discovery Channel

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 3, 2005) - Star Navigation
Systems Group Ltd. ("Star Navigation") (TSX VENTURE:SNA), a developer of
innovative and leading edge systems in flight safety and fleet
management, was featured on the Discovery Channel on Tuesday 1st or
March 2005. The Discovery Channel reaches over 86 million subscribers in
the United States and is the most-widely distributed television brand in
the world reaching over 425 million homes in 155 countries.

Star Navigation's flagship product, the In-Flight Safety Monitoring
System (ISMS™), is the first system in the world to offer a real-time
connection between an airplane and the ground while analyzing and
monitoring all on-board systems as the aircraft is still in-flight. The
ISMS™ has been certified by the FAA and Transport Canada, and
recently received an endorsement from the Government of India.

Star Navigation is currently in the final process of submitting the
necessary documentation for the planned installation of an In-flight
Safety Monitoring System on an Etihad Airways Airbus A-340 jet in May.
An aggressive marketing and sales campaign in the region has resulted in
very positive responses, as aviation authorities implement recent
international mandatory regulations for aircraft data monitoring and
analysis.

Etihad Airways is the new and official national airline of the United
Arab Emirates, based in the UAE's capital, Abu Dhabi. Etihad Airways is
setting the most rigorous security and operational standards. Etihad
Airways currently serves 16 destinations with plans to serve around 30
destinations, including Toronto, by the end of this year. Etihad Airways
has recently signed a $950 million contract with engine maker
Rolls-Royce, and has ordered five Boeing 777's for $1.09 billion, with
delivery slated for this October. This is in addition to the airline's
recently announced order of up to 36 Airbus aircraft worth as much as $7
billion. Star is proud to partner with this strong and competitive
player in the aviation industry.
