SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 4, 2012) - Weekends in October will start on Thursdays at Barona Resort & Casino with the extension of the casino's extremely popular TGI Thursday Giveaways.

After celebrating TGI Thursday during the month of September, Barona has answered the call from thousands of loyal players to extend the exciting Power Giveaways through October, giving guests another month of chances to win extra cash every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every Thursday.

"Our players had so much fun starting their weekends on Thursday during September that we jumped at the chance to keep TGI Thursday going for another month," said Rick Salinas, general manager of Barona Resort & Casino. "We love seeing players having fun and getting excited about their chances of winning, so why not keep the thrill going a little bit longer?"

Players will earn one entry for every 250 points they accrue between midnight on Mondays and 10 p.m. on Thursdays. In addition to the $1,000 winners, three players will win an extra $5,000 and one player will win $25,000 during the grand prize drawings at 11 p.m.

Double entries on Wednesdays will give players even more chances at winning extra cash during the giveaways.

TGI Thursdays Details:

• Power Giveaways happen every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every Thursday in October.
• Grand Prize Drawings for three $5,000 prizes and one $25,000 prize will be held at 11 p.m.
• Power Giveaways are open to all Club Barona members actively playing while using their Club Barona cards.
• Club Barona members earn one entry into the Grand Prize Drawing for every 250 points they win between Mondays at midnight and Thursdays at 10 p.m.
• Club Barona members earn double entries on Wednesdays in October.
