State of Brandenburg Authorizes Construction of Clyvia Plant

POINT ROBERTS, WASHINGTON--(CCNMatthews - April 30, 2007) - Clyvia Inc. (the "Company") (OTCBB:CLYV)(WKN:A0F59X, ISIN:US18975K1088) announced today that NKW Niederlausitzer Kompostwerke GmbH ("NKW") has obtained a permit from the Environmental Authority of the State of Brandenburg to build a Clyvia CL 500 fractional depolymerization plant. The plant will be operated by NKW at its facilities in the town of Beutersitz, located in the Elbe-Elster District of the State of Brandenburg, in Eastern Germany. The permit granted to NKW authorizes the construction and operation of a plant (the CL 500 plant) for the physical-chemical treatment of non-hazardous waste materials in accordance with federal emission control directives. NKW operates 90 composting plants in the State of Brandenburg.

The Company's wholly owned German subsidiary, Clyvia Technology GmbH ("Clyvia Technology"), expects NKW to deliver a 20 tonne batch of polyethylene in the beginning of May. Clyvia Technology will then conduct a test run using this material in its pilot plant in Wegberg-Wildenrath, Germany. The materials to be provided by NKW are expected to consist of a single type of polyethylene that has been previously cleaned and sorted. Dr. Manfred Sappok, the CEO of Clyvia Technology, and Peter Kraft, the CEO of NKW, have agreed that, if the test run is successful, NKW will place an order for a CL 500 plant based on quotations to be submitted by Clyvia Technology.

The Clyvia CL 500 plant is designed to process waste materials such as waste oil, cleaning oil and plastics to produce heating oil and diesel fuel. The process, known as fractional depolymerization, was developed and patented by Clyvia Technology, and is similar to the cracking of crude oil. The technology presents an economically viable method for public and private waste disposal operators to exploit the waste materials that they collect. The CL 500 is designed to have a waste processing capacity of approximately 500 kg per hour, which, when run at maximum capacity, equates to roughly 4380 tonnes of waste processed per year.

Clyvia Technology GmbH is a subsidiary of Clyvia Inc., a Nevada, USA corporation. Clyvia's shares are traded on over-the-counter market in the United States (OTCBB:CLYV) as well as on the stock market in Frankfurt (WKN:A0F59X, ISIN:US18975K1088).
