A Statement From Chad Steelberg in Response to Google's Decision to Shut Down Broadcast Radio Sales

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - February 12, 2009) - Chad Steelberg, CTO of Brand Affinity Technologies and co-founder of dMarc Broadcasting, is issuing the following statement in response to Google's decision to shut down Broadcast Radio Sales.

"Despite our departure from Google in February of 2007, Ryan and I are disappointed in Google's announcement this afternoon of its decision to shut down the Audio broadcast division. Radio is a ubiquitous global media, entertaining hundreds of millions of people and servicing hundreds of thousands of advertisers world-wide.

"dMarc Broadcasting's technology and business, sold to Google in 2006, formed the backbone of the Google Audio services for both traditional and online advertisers. As was the case in 2006, we still believe that dMarc Broadcasting is the definitive solution for accountable and efficient radio advertising and represents a multi-billion dollar business opportunity. Ryan and I remain committed to developing and investing in innovative and accountable advertising and media solutions [Brand Affinity Technologies (www.brandaffinity.net) and Next Medium (www.nextmedium.com)]."
