Statement from CUPE 3902 Chair Erin Black regarding act of vandalism at Simcoe Hall

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - March 20, 2015) - CUPE 3902 condemns in the strongest possible terms the recent act of vandalism at Simcoe Hall.

While it is not known who may have committed this act or if they are connected to any group or the strike, CUPE 3902 condemns the act.

To vandalize a building in the heart of the St. George campus does not advance any one's cause. Rather, it only serves to distract attention from where it needs to be, resolving a labour dispute that is hurting the university community.

As Chair of CUPE 3902, I call on all our members and allies to join me in condemning this act of vandalism, and making it clear to others that such acts will not be tolerated.
