Statement from GM Canada Regarding BC Clean Transportation Program

OSHAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 5, 2011) - "GM Canada commends British Columbia for its new Clean Transportation Program, which will accelerate consumer adoption of green vehicle technologies like the Chevrolet Volt," said Kevin W. Williams, president and managing director, General Motors of Canada. "Recognized as a leading jurisdiction for green technology, BC is one of the initial Canadian launch markets for the Volt, available from select local dealers today."

Williams added, "Plug-in electric vehicles, like the Chevrolet Volt, deliver tremendous environmental benefits, particularly in combination with BC's green and renewable electricity grid."

The Chevrolet Volt is the industry's first electric vehicle with extended range. Unlike other electric vehicles in the market, the Chevrolet Volt will never leave anyone stranded with a depleted battery.
