Statement from Vancouver Taxi Association

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Oct. 16, 2014) - The Vancouver Taxi Association strongly disagrees with the views expressed by the anonymous author of the blog article entitled "Why Vancouver's cab community strongly believes someone inside Vancouver City Council was paid off by UBER."

The City has, in our view, sensibly decided to conduct a six month review of the taxi situation within its boundaries. This review will include consideration of new forms of taxi delivery.

The Vancouver Taxi Association supports the introduction of new ways of providing taxi services and welcomes the opportunity to demonstrate to the City that the Association can fully meet the needs of taxi users.
