Statement by Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages Shelly Glover on Canadian films in Official Competition at the 67th Cannes Festival

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 17, 2014) - Canada achieved a historic milestone today, as three Canadian films were announced as official selections to compete for the Palme d'Or at the prestigious Cannes Festival.

I would like to congratulate the following talented Canadians:

David Cronenberg, for Maps to the Stars

Xavier Dolan, for Mommy

Atom Egoyan, for Captives (The Captive)
