STATS Elevates Player Evaluation With ICE -- A Specialized Sports Operations Solution Created With the New Orleans Saints During Their Super Bowl Winning Season

NORTHBROOK, IL--(Marketwire - November 29, 2010) - STATS LLC, the world's leading sports content, data and technology company, announced today it has acquired the ICE sports operations solution, an interactive technology platform that was developed in tandem with IdentityMine, an expert user experience design company (UX). The ICE solution was used exclusively last season by the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.

STATS' newly formed Sports Solutions Group (SSG) plans to leverage aspects of the ICE platform for multiple sports in both the professional and collegiate ranks. ICE and other service offerings developed by the SSG group aim to provide more value to STATS' team, league and media clients by providing tools to manage, access and utilize critical analytical information.

The custom ICE solution utilized by the Saints enhances the capabilities of their front office, coaching and scouting personnel by merging information assets such as player reports, specialized analytics and scouting video to provide a single source of information and media from which to strategize and game plan. In addition, ICE brings player evaluation to a new level by tying STATS X-Info data to game video. As a result, for the first time, a visual catalog is available for esoteric data valued by teams such as burned defenders, yards after catch, broken tackles and much more.

"ICE was built to act as a single source system that aligns a team's entire knowledge base from analytical data to player records to scouting video," said John Pollard, General Manager of STATS Sports Solutions Group. "By combining the unique properties of interactive technology tools with a team's knowledge assets and our own unique analytics, STATS dramatically increases the value of an organization's current information, IT and video operations while providing a distinct competitive advantage in operational efficiency."

Seattle-based IdentityMine, an expert user-experience and software development firm, will remain the user experience design and development partner of STATS' Sports Solutions Group as it continues to evolve the ICE system and roll out new sports operations technologies.

"By partnering with STATS we are able to greatly expand our reach into numerous sports," said Mark Brown, CEO of IdentityMine. "The best way to get IdentityMine solutions in the hands of teams, media companies and fans is through partnerships like the one we've established with STATS."
