Status Solutions Features Clinical Application Framework at OHA HealthAchieve 2011 Conference

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 7, 2011) - Status Solutions, provider of the Situational Awareness and Response Assistant (SARA), will present its acute care solution set, the Clinical Application Framework, at next week's OHA HealthAchieve 2011 Conference, November 7-8, in Toronto, Ontario, in booth 918.

Status Solutions' Clinical Application Framework is designed to meet the complex requirements in an acute care environment. The Framework enables overall situational awareness by providing patient and staff safety and alerting, environmental monitoring, asset tracking, and workflow management through the Staff Assignments Module.

At the core of the Framework is the Situational Awareness and Response Assistant (SARA) that integrates to multiple systems to provide a single point of management for enhanced alerting and reporting. Systems can include, Nurse Call, Patient Monitoring, Fire Panels, Infant Abduction, etc. SARA also improves operations by providing two-way patient/ nurse communication, broadcasting emergency codes, environmental monitoring via sensors (i.e. labs, server rooms, restrooms, pharmacies), device tracking and monitoring of various patient devices.

One of Status Solutions' latest innovations, SARA's eMessenger, will be highlighted in the expo hall. Through SARA's eMessenger, users can leverage existing technology to receive emergency and non-emergency alerts from SARA on their Windows based computer desktops. SARA's eMessenger enhances the centralization of alerts while extending the ability to communicate to potentially thousands of screens throughout a hospital.

In regards to 3rd party integrations, Status Solutions entered into discussions earlier this year with Stryker to integrate smart bed information and enable the next generation patient care. Stryker and Status Solutions have defined and developed an integration to drive alerts from Stryker's smart bed (iBed) Wireless system to SARA's robust alerting engine. The integration will be demonstrated in booths # 1222 and 918.

Status Solutions has and will continue to form strategic partnerships and leverage best of breed technologies to continue to expand the Clinical Application Framework to better meet the unique needs of acute care facilities.
