Status Update on London Boy Rescued From Captivity in Bedroom

- Caregivers are pleased to share that the boy rescued from a bedroom last week continues to show progress and is integrating well.

- Due to the overwhelming volume of offers of support from the community, the Children's Aid Society of London & Middlesex is setting up a private trust fund for the boy called From London with Love.

LONDON, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 2, 2014) - The specialized treatment foster family currently caring for the boy reports that he continues to do very well, playing video games and developing a friendship with another child in the foster home. He has also shown a healthy appetite, with a particular fondness for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

The other child, the boy's nine-year-old cousin, remains in a separate foster home and continues to do well.

The community's interest in and compassion for the boy is enormous, with several offers of adoption. We have also received many queries on how to donate funds or help. The cost of caring for children in care and any material needs they may have is entirely funded by the Society; however, in response to the community's wishes to help, CAS of London & Middlesex has set up a private account to be held in trust, called From London with Love. Funds will be collected through the Society's fundraising portal and will be held in trust by the Agency until the child's permanent living arrangements are known.

If you wish to make a donation to the children, please visit, referencing: From London with Love.
