Enterprise Pooled License Server Option and Support for Double-Byte Asian Character Sets Highlight Latest Additions

TUSTIN, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 13, 2007 -- Stay-Linked Corporation today announced the release of Stay-Linked Version 8.

The new Pool License Server option enables enterprises to take full advantage of the simplified management and cost-saving benefits that Stay-Linked's host-based, thin-client licensing model offers. Unlike typical device-side terminal emulation products where licensing is applied on each of the users' devices, Stay-Linked licensing is controlled on the host system where the terminal users connect and is based on a more cost-effective concurrent-user model.

The Pool License Server is ideally suited for enterprises that deploy mission-critical applications in a distributed fashion. The retail industry is a perfect example of this, where there is often a need to support terminal users performing real-time data collection in multiple remote distribution centers and in tens, hundreds, or even thousands, of store locations.

Version 8 also adds support for double-byte Asian character sets on terminal devices using Stay-Linked thin-client terminal emulation software to connect to the host system and manage the user's session.
