StayWell Health Management and Krames StayWell to Merge

New Company Will Deliver Comprehensive Portfolio of Health Engagement Solutions to Address Changing Health Care Landscape

YARDLEY, PA--(Marketwired - Mar 6, 2014) - MediMedia announced the merger of its StayWell Health Management and Krames StayWell divisions into one organization, to be called StayWell. The company will leverage newly combined resources, expertise, and technology assets to help its clients attract and engage health consumers, educate patients and members to improve health outcomes, and enhance health and productivity.

"As the health care industry evolves, consumer health engagement, care collaboration and population health management are becoming increasingly important as strategic imperatives to improve health and health outcomes, reduce costs and increase client revenue," said Bill Goldberg, CEO, MediMedia. "Value-based incentive programs focused on improving the health and well-being of consumers and improving quality present a significant opportunity for StayWell to drive value to all of the segments we will now serve together: hospitals, health plans and employers."

Combining Krames StayWell and StayWell Health Management unites a broad portfolio of superior health engagement solutions, including custom health communications, robust health content assets, population health management solutions and technology capabilities. StayWell will serve more than 2,000 clients, spanning the health care industry -- including health plans, hospitals, health systems, provider groups, employers, consumer health organizations, pharmaceutical companies and medical associations.

The merger will become effective March 31, 2014. Trent Sterling, CEO of Krames StayWell, will serve as CEO of StayWell. Additional details regarding leadership and organizational structure will be disclosed following the completion of the merger.

"This move accelerates our strategy and positions us to deliver even greater value to our clients," said Sterling. "We're creating a new kind of health engagement company. Combining our existing products and solutions with new investments in data analytics and technology ideally positions StayWell to deliver more innovative, personalized and meaningful health engagement programs which help our clients achieve their operational and business objectives."

Harmonizing technology and product development plans, redeploying features across platforms and sharing best practices will enhance innovation and accelerate the delivery of these new solutions in the market. StayWell's vision is to bring technologically advanced products, tools, and services to the market to help consumers make positive health decisions.
