STC Footwear Inc. to Receive Financial Assistance from Government of Canada to Implement International Commercialization Strategy

ANJOU, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 21, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm STC Footwear Inc. is receiving financial assistance to roll out its commercialization strategy in South America, Europe, the Middle East and Oceania.

"The Government of Canada has decided to support STC Footwear's market development project for niche products resulting from its substantial investment in research and development, an important asset in the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises," said Minister Lebel.

Through this commercialization strategy, STC Footwear is looking to position itself as a leader in the manufacture and sale of high-quality safety boots. Thanks to its investments in R&D, the company offers a variety of innovative products in its target niche markets. STC Footwear operates in a traditional sector but banks on exclusive technologies to give itself a clear advantage over its competitors and, in so doing, increase its sales.
