Stellar Appoints Mr J. Francois Lalonde as COO of the Company


MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - June 4, 2013) - Mr. Maurice Giroux, President and Chief Executive Officer of Stellar AfricaGold Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SPX) ("Stellar" or the "Company") and a Qualified Person as defined in NI 43-101, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. J. François Lalonde, P.Eng (BSc. Civil Engineering) as Chief Operation Officer (COO) of the "Company".

Mr. Lalonde has been a Board Member of "Stellar" for over 2 years and has played an important role in the acquisition of the Company's Namarana property in the Republic of Mali.

François has worked for many years in several parts of the African continent as a civil engineer and has been involved in different project with large international construction and engineering firms. He is particularly familiar with West African French speaking countries and this serves perfectly "Stellar" positioning as a mining exploration company whose primary mission is to identify, explore and develop gold deposits in West Africa. Stellar is currently developing an advanced gold Project in Guinea, only a few kilometers away, west of the Namarana property in Mali.

On 2013-04-22, Stellar announced that B3 and B1 gold zones of the Balandougou Project in Guinea reached Prefeasibility stage. The Independent report produced by AECOM concluded that the exploration carried out so far on Balandougou led to the discovery of two significant ore bodies, namely the B3 and B1 gold zones. At present time, these two zones represent the best opportunity for Stellar AfricaGold and UltraGold to initiate a gold production in order to generate a positive cash flow and pursue the development of the other valuable targets discovered on the property by additional exploration work.

François Lalonde's main responsibility will be the promotion and the valuation the Balandougou property in Guinea. This implies primarily overseeing and finalizing pre-feasibility study and feasibility study for B1 and B3 gold deposits as reported in previous press release.

Mr. Lalonde is also a director of two other companies listed on the TSX-V namely: 'Kanosak Capital Venture Corporation Inc.' (TSX-V: KKV) and 'Atlantic Industrial Minerals Inc.' (TSX-V: ANL.H).
