StepChange Group Names Christopher Mike as Vice President, Strategic Accounts

Portland-Based Powered Company Hires Nike, EA and Agency Veteran to Manage Growing Fortune 100 Account Base

  • StepChange Group, a Powered company, today announces that it has hired marketing veteran Christopher Mike as Vice President, Strategic Accounts. Mike will bring with him more than 20 years of marketing, branding and social media experience to the Company's client base.

  • As Vice President, Strategic Accounts, Mike will be responsible for managing StepChange Group's ongoing initiatives with large consumer brands to ensure they maximize the strategy behind those programs as well as evaluate potential new outlets for consumer exposure. Mike will also be charged with growing a strategic account group that can serve as a resource to StepChange Group's clients that will allow accounts to benefit from the full expertise of a Powered company.

  • Mike has years of experience working in large consumer brands, including stints as Vice President of Marketing for Converse and Director of Marketing for Nike, where he led the development of the Nike Golf brand from a small footwear and apparel brand to one of the leading golf equipment brands in the industry.

  • Mike also directly managed marketing teams for consumer electronic brands. As Vice President of Marketing for Konami of America, Mike led and grew the marketing team that launched ESPN's first branded line of sports video games and helped secure a partnership with Universal Interactive Studios. And as Director of Advertising & Strategic Research for Electronic Arts, Mike was responsible for driving EA's global advertising and consumer insights strategies.

  • Immediately before joining StepChange Group, Mike was General Manager of Sports Marketing at Rocket XL, a marketing agency focused on helping clients execute brand and product campaigns in the social media space.

  • In addition to his brand experience, Mike started his career in various account management positions at Chiat/Day, DMB&B, Borders, Perrin & Norrander and Cole & Weber working on accounts such as Nissan, General Motors and Avia shoes.
