Steve Brammell Joins Spectrum Gaming Group's Online Gaming Team

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ--(Marketwire - Jan 31, 2012) - Stephen Brammell, former General Counsel to Caesars Entertainment, has joined Spectrum Gaming Group's online gaming advisory team to assist state lotteries, commercial operators and tribal governments as they develop new policies and business models in anticipation of legal online wagering in the United States.

Brammell, a veteran Spectrum associate, worked at Caesars Entertainment (then known as Harrah's Entertainment) when that organization -- the world's largest gaming company -- was first evaluating its online gaming opportunities. As the company's chief legal officer and a member of the company's senior executive group until his retirement in 2008, he was responsible for overseeing the company's legal, regulatory and compliance affairs as well as helping set overall strategic direction.

Spectrum (www.spectrumgaming.com) is a pioneer among US-based consultants in analyzing government policy and potential online business models. A decade ago, Spectrum developed the Spectrum Internet Gambling Heuristic Theorem (SIGHT), which has accurately projected the acceptance of online gaming.

"Steve Brammell understands the intricate relationship between laws and regulation and business models, and he has deep experience in helping operators identify significant business opportunities and working with governmental agencies in many domestic and foreign jurisdictions," said Spectrum Managing Director Michael Pollock.

"I share Spectrum's proven view that every US operator and public agency needs to fashion its own business model based on its unique sets of laws, market and needs," Brammell said. "I look forward to making that happen."

Brammell will work closely with Eugene Johnson, Senior Vice President for Market Research. Johnson was closely involved in developing marketing strategy and establishing player loyalty programs for major online gaming providers seeking to enter the U.S. market.

Spectrum is a principal and founding partner in Global iGaming Advisors (GiGA), providing a one-stop professional services solution for the evolving online gambling market in the US. Other team members are H2Gambling Capital and Gaming Edge Associates, both based in Europe with extensive experience and knowledge in iGaming worldwide.

Spectrum authored a comprehensive white paper for the National Indian Gaming Association to help that organization understand the impact on its members from the potential legalization of online gaming. The report was distributed to all NIGA members and can be viewed at www.spectrumgaming.com/experience/.

Spectrum has also worked with many state lotteries across the nation, including West Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, Ohio and Georgia.
