Steve Finnerty Joins the CIO Executive Council's Leadership Team

FRAMINGHAM, MA--(Marketwire - Dec 12, 2012) -  The CIO Executive Council -- a member-led executive organization of global business leaders working to drive value from the intersection of business, information technology and strategy -- announces the appointment of Stephen Finnerty to the Executive Leadership Team. He will join the Council's leadership team with the mission to help grow the community of global senior IT leaders and advise the strategic direction of services.

Steve Finnerty is currently president of Finnerty Consulting which focuses on helping people and teams achieve their potential. He has been involved in the information systems profession for over 40 years and has held positions as the Senior Vice President for Information Systems and Supply Chain Management at premier global companies including Applied Materials, Dell, Kraft Foods and Johnson Controls. His teams have been consistently recognized with industry awards including CIO 100, Computerworld's Premier 100 IT Leaders and Computerworld's 100 Best Places to Work in IT.

Steve was recognized in 2011 at Innotech as the IT Executive of the Year in Austin, Texas. He has guest lectured and taught Supply Chain Management, IT Portfolio Management and Strategic Analysis at Northwestern Kellogg School and University of Texas McCombs School. Steve received his bachelor's degree in Finance from Villanova University and his MBA from Lehigh University.
