Steve Lococo Gets You Glam With Holiday Hair Tips, Demonstrations and Blow-Styling Classes

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 9, 2006 -- Creating salon-perfect hair at home may seem like something only salon stylists themselves can have, but that is about to change. Salon owner and hair stylist Steve Lococo and his expert team at Borrelli Beverly Hills are conducting blow-styling classes to teach people how to get a salon finish every day. Classes will include the dos and don'ts of blow styling and instructions on how to re-create that fresh-from-the-salon look at home.

Lococo has more than 20 years of experience and he is the creator of the No More Bad Hair Days Kit and Borrelli Hair Care products. He has appeared on "Extreme Makeover," "Dr. 90210," "How Do I Look?" and other TV shows and news programs. His work has been seen in Redbook, Self, and many other magazines. As a master of his craft who was recently inducted into the prestigious Intercoiffure, Lococo continually seeks ways to create a better and more meaningful experience for his clients. "We want people to feel great about the way they look every day, not just when they leave the salon," Lococo said. "With the blow-styling classes we can help people do that and they can have fun in the process."

Classes are taught at scheduled times from 5:30 pm to 8 pm select Wednesdays; Nov. 15 and 29 and Dec. 6 and 20. Each class costs $20 per person, with $15 available in credit toward the purchase of any Borrelli Hair Care Products. Guests need to bring their own styling products and brushes. Guests can also bring their makeup bags to receive a free personalized makeup consultation from a professional makeup artist.

Just in time for the holiday party season, Lococo will demonstrate how to create special holiday hair styles at home. Following are tips from Lococo on getting holiday glamorous in a hurry.

In a time crunch: For short hair, a dramatic side part or a hair falling seductively over the eye, secured with a light wax, can be stunning. If hair is longer, make two ponytails and tie them together in a knot. Secure it with pins and let the ends hang out loosely for a dramatic, sexy effect.

If you have time for a full blowout, add some oomph by creating volume around the crown. After drying that section, secure it with a Velcro roller and lightly spray to set it. Also, set in some waves around the edge of the face. When drying is complete, lightly spray and set (about five minutes), then finger through the hair to create separation.

The right accessories can make any outfit stand out in a crowd. Wear sparkly earrings or a necklace that brings out the color of your eyes or that looks great against your skin. Create a simple and stunning look by taking a sparkly pin that you like, and pin it to a small, plain bow. The bow dresses the hairstyle, but the jewels become center stage.
