Steven Rockefeller, Jr. Joins Sparta Commercial Services Advisory Council

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - April 20, 2009) - Sparta Commercial Services, Inc. (OTCBB: SRCO), the New York-based nationwide financial services company exclusively dedicated to the powersports industry, today announced the appointment of Steven C. Rockefeller, Jr., a prominent figure in the emerging business sector, as a member of the Sparta Commercial Services, Inc. Advisory Council.

Rockefeller currently serves as a consultant, advisor, and/or straight equity partner for a number of emerging companies in a variety of industries, including real estate, commercial banking, renewable energy and asset management, among others. His interests are managed through Re-echo Holdings, LLC. Prior to his involvement with early stage private equity activities, Rockefeller served as Managing Director for Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, where he also focused on small business loans through the creation of the Deutsche Bank Micro-credit Development Fund. Rockefeller received a Fulbright Award for his dedicated service in poverty alleviation, serves on the corporate boards of BioChemics, Tracer Imaging, and Augment Communications, and is a member of the Rockefeller University Council.

As the latest addition to Sparta's Advisory Council, Rockefeller will be joining Jack D. Cowles, Managing Director of JDC Consulting, a senior level management consulting services company based in New York, who is also a private investor in a variety of growth businesses, and a member of the Board of Directors of EnerTeck Corporation; Christopher J. Kennan, a private investor, who has worked for and advised various individuals, including David Rockefeller, Sr., is currently a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (NYC), and is Chairman of the Kennan Council at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C.; and Reed S. Kean, an owner and operator of KW Commercial Realty-MTD Realty Group of Maplewood, NJ and Keller Williams Mid-Town Direct Realty, with an earlier background as a Financial Advisor with Prudential Securities and in Capital Asset Management for Smith Barney Asset Management. Kean also served on the Finance Committee of Kean for Senate (NJ).
