Stewardship Agencies of British Columbia (SABC): One Stop Drop for Recycling Coming to Clearwater

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 13, 2011) - The Stewardship Agencies of British Columbia (SABC) are ramping up recycling access to communities across BC this spring and summer with recycling drop-off events.

Mark your calendar for this opportunity to reduce the amount of unwanted stuff that may be tucked away in your garage, home office, or under the kitchen sink that could be recycled responsibly at our drop off event.

SABC have committed to recycling their products safely and responsibly. Please bring the appropriate items for recycling to:

Location: Rotary Sports Park, 428 Murtle Crescent (Across from Sportsplex)
Date: Saturday, September 24, 2011
Time: 10:00AM – 3:00PM

By diverting recyclable materials from landfills:

  • The need to develop new landfill sites can be reduced.
  • The diverted materials are reused and save energy needed to produce new products from raw materials.
  • It can often be the least expensive waste management method for cities and towns.

Product stewardship is an environmental management strategy guided by the principle that whoever designs, produces, sells, or uses a product takes responsibility for minimizing that product's environmental impact.
