Stiff Competition for Guam Congressional Election

TAMUNING, GUAM--(Marketwired - June 27, 2014) - The congressional election for Washington Delegate in Guam has produced multiple election candidates that will challenge Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo for seat at U.S. Congress in the 2014 Election within the Republican and Democratic Party.

The challengers for candidacy include Republican Margaret McDonald Glover Metcalfe, Democrat Matt Artero, and Democrat Cary Lee Peterson, who recently spoke to press about community affairs and made a statement at United Nations about community programs and a diplomatic mission to support social and economic development in Guam and Micronesia in cooperation with United Nations and European Union.

July 1 is the deadline for candidates to officially enter the congressional election ballot and the future of Guam may be based upon the results of confirmed entries to this election for Washington Delegate.
