Stikine Gold Corporation: Board of Director Changes

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 3, 2005) - Stikine Gold Corporation (the "Company", "Stikine") (TSX VENTURE:SKY) is pleased to announce that Mr. John Baker has been appointed as a Director of the Company effective November 3, 2005. Mr. Baker is a geologist with over 40 years of experience in the minerals exploration industry, directing significant exploration programs in British Columbia during the 1970's and at various times in Ireland and Alaska, in addition to work in Nevada and Mexico. He has experience on a wide variety of mineral deposit types, including; volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS), sedimentary exhalative (SEDEX), skarns, various porphyry types, epithermal gold/silver and mesothermal deposits. In the late 1980s and 90s Mr. Baker was instrumental in directing and managing the growth of JT Thomas Drilling Ltd., a successful international diamond drilling company that was ultimately acquired by Major Drilling Group International Inc. in 1997. Mr. Baker's success in the exploration and diamond drilling industry brings a wealth of experience to the Company.

Stikine's board of directors has regretfully accepted the resignation of Dr. Iain Bruce, P.Eng. who has been a director since July of 2002. The Company thanks Dr. Bruce for his past efforts and wishes him every success in all future endeavors.
