StillSecure Positioned in the Visionaries Quadrant for Network Intrusion Prevention System Appliances, 2H06

Evaluation Based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute

SUPERIOR, CO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 16, 2007 -- StillSecure®, provider of an award-winning, integrated suite of enterprise network security solutions, today announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the visionaries quadrant of the 'Network Intrusion Prevention System Appliances, 2H06'(i) report. The quadrant report evaluates StillSecure Strata Guard®, an award-winning family of network-based intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) that provide real-time, zero-day protection from network attacks and malicious traffic.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant positions a company based on its vision and ability to execute and is a graphical representation of a marketplace at and for a specific time period. "Gartner estimates that the network IPS market for stand-alone appliances was approximately $246 million in 2004 (including product and maintenance but not services) and will increase to more than $700 million by the end of 2006."

According to StillSecure, the recent success of Strata Guard Free, the company's freeware IDS/IPS available at, helped position Strata Guard in the visionary quadrant. Strata Guard was also recognized for its integration with the rest of the StillSecure suite, including StillSecure VAM®, the company's vulnerability management system, and StillSecure Safe Access®, the company's network access control (NAC) system. Integration within the StillSecure suite provides a higher level of security while reducing costs and increasing the value of existing IT systems.

"As the market for standalone IPS systems evolves, StillSecure will continue to leverage opportunities for integrating Strata Guard with the rest of our product suite. In addition, we'll continue to capitalize on Strata Guard's unique position as an OEM supplier to major network infrastructure companies," said Mitchell Ashley, CTO and VP of Customer Experience at StillSecure. "These strategies will allow users to take advantage of the deep functionality and wide breadth of capabilities offered by a truly integrated security suite."
