Stipple Introduces Network, the Image Ad Network for Web Publishers

Improves Engagement and Grows Revenue Through Images

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 3, 2011) - Stipple, a San Francisco-based technology company, today introduced Stipple Network, a powerful new advertising and content network for online photos and images. With Network, web publishers can improve audience engagement and increase revenues using Stipple's interactive search and shopping content. Network syndicates search and shopping information to nationally distributed editorial images. It also gives publishers the ability to label the people, places and things contained in their images.

Stipple Network provides accurate search results on the people and products contained in nationally distributed editorial images so publishers don't have to spend time sourcing information or tagging photos. Stipple also eliminates 'get the look' link spam created by other in-image advertisers.

Using proprietary technology, Stipple syndicates accurate search and shopping information to all copies of an editorial image throughout the web. Stipple also finds images similar to a master image and adds accurate search and shopping data to the related images. As a result, publishers can earn revenue from the editorial images on their site without interrupting their existing workflow.

Stipple Network currently serves more than 1,300 publishers. With Network, publishers are able to add captions, people tags and editorial content to web-based photos. As users explore and shop images, publishers earn revenue based on the engagement and shopping of their audience.

Stipple Network is part of the Stipple product ecosystem announced today that also includes Lens, Pipeline, and Want. Lens creates new revenue streams for photo agencies from their editorial image content. Lens licenses more than 100,000 editorial images per month from top photo agencies, including Abaca USA, Admedia, Buzz Foto, PictureGroup, Sipa, Starmax, Startraks and Zuma, among others. Pipeline enables brands to promote and sell their products through editorial images containing those products. More than 50 leading brands are using Pipeline today. Want enables audiences to search, shop and 'want-list' the products contained in editorial images throughout the web.
