Stitt Feld Handy Group Announces That They Will Continue to Offer the Executive Certificate in Conflict Management Program

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jan. 20, 2014) - Last month, Toronto-based education provider Stitt Feld Handy Group announced that they would continue to offer the Executive Certificate Program in Conflict Management. The program is a joint venture with the University of Windsor Law School. Graduates of the program will have developed an understanding of how to effectively handle many different types of conflict that can arise. The program is the first of its kind in Canada, and proudly features a well-rounded curriculum that includes both online learning and interactive workshops.

The program is custom-designed for all individuals. With only fifteen days of in-class training spread across the year, the program allows its students to improve their dispute resolution skills without hindering their daily lives. The curriculum of the program covers, topics that include negotiation, mediation, how to have difficult conversations and deal with difficult people, and how to help others resolve conflicts. A graduate of the program will have improved communication skills and an enhanced ability to assess and address conflicts with an understanding of how to creatively solve problems.

The costs of resolving conflict through litigation underscore the value of having strong dispute resolution skills. Expensive legal fees, the loss of productivity, and damage to reputations and relationships are just some of the severe consequences that a company may incur if it cannot resolve conflict through alternative means. Stitt Feld Handy Group's workshops and courses can provide training to companies both big and small that will allow their personnel to manage conflict before the impact is strongly felt.

The Executive Certificate in Conflict Management encompasses the Stitt Feld Handy Group's various approaches to education, which include the use of case studies, analytical discussion among students and with lecturers, group exercises, demonstrations, videos and more. The process is interactive, immersive, and applies to the different ways that students learn and retain new skills. A past graduate of the Stitt Feld Handy Group, Berry Mosiondz of TD Bank, reflected that that the training provides an "excellent balance between classroom learning and practical application."
