Stone Mountain Increases Output by 20% Due to Demand from Recent Hurricanes in Southern United States

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 29, 2005) - Stone Mountain Holdings Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SMO) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned operating subsidiary, Re-Con Building Products Inc. ("Re-Con"), manufacturers of the 'Naturals' line of cement and fiber based roofing tiles, recently held a management meeting with key production staff in attendance to discuss the industry impact of the recent disaster in Louisiana. The Company is aware that as of September 20th of this year, over 800,000 people in the State of Louisiana have applied to FEMA for assistance in repairing or replacing housing destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.

Following the hurricanes of 2004, Re-Con made a commitment to its Florida distributors and roofers to ship all orders within 5 weeks and the company ramped up production to meet that commitment. While some customers in Florida are still waiting for material for their roofs, homeowners that chose Re-Con products were well secured by the time the 2005 hurricane season started.

On January 23rd, 2000, New Orleans experienced a major hail storm. Re-Con increased production, shipping over 25,000 roofing squares over an 18 month period to builders in New Orleans and shipping all orders within 5 weeks.

The impact of Katrina will increase building material shortages across North America. Aside from concrete tile and other roofing materials, there is already significant shortfalls in cement and plywood. To help make up for these shortfalls, Re-Con is committed to placing a minimum of 20% of its output over the next 12 months directly into Mississippi and Louisiana and delivering individual orders in 5 weeks or less. The Company has started taking steps to increase its output by 30% to help fill the need in the market. Re-Con has made a commitment to donate $10 for every roofing square that is shipped into the area to agencies assisting the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Re-Con's FireFree Naturals roofing tiles come with a wind rating up to 200mph and are proven to withstand hurricane force winds. In addition, all Naturals products have a Class IV Hail Rating, Class A fire rating and are 100% asbestos free.
