Stony Brook University Medical Center Selects Advanced MEDSEEK Enterprise Software to Integrate Its Diverse Web Sites and Rebuild Its Web Presence Portals

SOLVANG, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 13, 2006 -- MEDSEEK, a leading provider of content management and web applications, with 500-plus hospital clients around the country, announced today that Stony Brook University Medical Center purchased MEDSEEK's SiteMaker E to use as the primary tool to modernize and redeploy existing web sites and develop new ones for its various enterprise portals. Stony Brook University Medical Center, a regional academic medical center in Long Island with a 504-bed hospital, a 500 provider Outpatient Practice, and a 400 student Medical School, plans to use the content management solution for all its medical center-based websites.

According to Moisés Eisenberg, Director of the Medical Informatics Department and Professor of Pharmacology in the School of Medicine at Stony Brook University, "After a lengthy RFP process, we selected MEDSEEK because their comprehensive, integrated solutions and enterprise software tool suite will enable us to fulfill our goal of renewing our web presence by building physician, patient, consumer, faculty, students and staff web portals in a relatively short time while at the same time allowing us to maintain these up-to-date with a limited number of in-house IT staff. Our selection committee concluded that MEDSEEK offers a very robust system that combines enterprise web applications and content management. In addition, with MEDSEEK's vast experience in the healthcare field, we will be implementing an institution-wide integrated solution."

In June, the Stony Brook team will receive two full days of onsite training on MEDSEEK's content management system software application, SiteMaker®, which enables web developers and content managers to create and maintain robust websites that can engage stakeholders across the enterprise. Users can easily change and maintain their own web content with pre-programmed design templates and functional modules, such as events management systems and newsletters. MEDSEEK's comprehensive ePlatform technology is well suited for companies that exchange health, clinical and/or business information with providers, patients and patients' families.

Welcoming Stony Brook to MEDSEEK's growing client roster, MEDSEEK CEO Mike Drake states, "Hospitals across the country are seeking a more comprehensive approach to portal development that combines rapid creation and deployment of web solutions that encompass clinical system integration to meet the needs of the entire healthcare enterprise. We are pleased that our proven technology solutions will help Stony Brook create state-of-the-art online communications tools."
