Storage Appliance Corp. Signs Joint Marketing Agreement with Polaroid

Innovative technology solves fear and frustration of backing up data

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 7, 2006) - Storage Appliance Corp. (www.storage-corp.com), inventors of "ClickFree™" backup technology for consumers, has signed a worldwide marketing agreement with Polaroid Corporation, a division of Petters Group Worldwide.

Storage Appliance Corp. is teaming up with Polaroid to market Polaroid's media backup device for digital photos using ClickFree™ software.

Storage Appliance's breakthrough technology embedded in Polaroid's media backup device enables mass market consumers to back up photos from their personal computer by simply plugging the device into a USB port. It immediately searches the computer for any digital images and copies them over without any software installation or configuration.

"Polaroid is the perfect brand to bring this backup device to market," says Ian Collins, CEO, Storage Appliance Corp. "External data storage devices currently available have failed mass market consumers because they require time-consuming and often confusing setup and configuration, making them largely unusable for the non-technical consumer."

Storage Appliance's ClickFree™ technology (patent pending) assures the user of a secure and easy process, and eliminates the frustration of backup, making it ideal for end users with little computer knowledge. It requires no software or configuration to operate.

"We are the first generation that will be held accountable to digitally protect our photo memories," says Scott Hardy, Executive Vice President, Product Group, Polaroid. "We now have a product anyone can use to confidently back up precious memories without the frustration of using a complicated backup device."

Research shows half of all consumers don't back up their data at all because they are apprehensive of the technology. The balance of consumers who back up infrequently rely mostly on CDs to store copies of their files, including photos, which is an inconvenient and time-consuming drag-and-drop process.

Storage Appliance Corp., in partnership with Polaroid, plans to address other media verticals throughout the coming year with products based on its ClickFree™ technology.
