Storage Visions™ 2007 Sessions on the Role and Use of Digital Storage in Consumer Electronics

Keynotes and Event Sponsors Announced

SAN JOSE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 14, 2006 -- The Storage Visions Conference, bringing together digital storage and the entertainment content value chain, announces CE Storage Sessions as well as keynote talks and new sponsors. Storage Visions 2007 (a partner to the International CES) will be held January 6 & 7, 2007, at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas.

On January 7, 2007, two sessions will examine pressing issues associated with digital storage for consumer electronics. The session on Integration of Storage in Consumer Devices, moderated by Melissa Perenson of PC World, explores use and design of digital storage in CE applications, future requirements for CE digital storage and whether and how applications might be integrated into CE digital storage. Companies participating in this session include: Agere, AMD, DataLight, Sanyo Electronics, STAKTEK, STMicroelectronics, and Toshiba.

The session on Choosing a Mobile CE Storage Product, moderated by Gerry Purdy of Frost and Sullivan, looks at the fierce competition between flash and HDDs for mobile applications and the future of flash, HDD and other mobile storage technologies. Companies participating in this session include: SanDisk, Samsung Semiconductor, Migo, Micron, Kilopass, and Hitachi GST.

Jerry Pierce, Senior Vice President of Universal Studios, and Maureen Weber, General Manager of Hewlett-Packard's Personal Storage Business will give keynote talks on January 6 and 7 respectively. Omneon is sponsoring session A1: Storage and Content Creation, Editing and Distribution while Fujifilm is sponsoring the executive roundtable, Session B2, on January 7 moderated by Lee Gomes of the Wall Street Journal titled: Digital Storage for the Content Value Chain: What sort of Business is this?
