Storenvy Debuts New Brand Pages, Homepage Experience; Focuses on Curated Product Discovery From Emerging Brands

Storenvy Launches 'Featured Brands' and 'Featured Collections' on New, Editorialized Homepage, Sheds Light on Authentic and Emerging Brands

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 27, 2013) - Storenvy (Storenvy.com), the home of inspired and emerging brands where people discover, buy and sell things they love, unveils fresh new features today -- perfectly timed for the holiday shopping season. A redesigned homepage fueled by the debut of over 100 "brand stories" and new, editorial features encourages strong connections between passionate brands and like-minded shoppers. Simply put, Storenvy is changing the way consumers discover new products by creating a more editorial experience backed by inspired brands with stories to tell. And with more than 60,000 brands and over two million products created and curated by Storenvy's community, the possibilities are endless.

"It's inspiring to see how brands are using our platform," says Storenvy CEO and founder Jon Crawford. "We want our story to be about our users' stories. And we're evolving the overall experience to help consumers discover really interesting brands with truly awesome things to tell. We're helping to bring these things to life."

As part of the redesign, brands and their stories are now front and center within the Marketplace allowing users to not only discover inspired and emerging brands, but also to connect with the story and go behind the scenes with the brand and its products. Each brand page will now feature photographs of the makers and designers in action, stories of how their work came to be and their vision for the future. Storenvy will debut over 100 brand pages today and will feature two brands on the homepage each week.

The evolution of the Storenvy Marketplace experience began with the recent launch of the Collections feature, allowing users to keep groups of products bookmarked and organized (i.e. gifts, wishlists, etc.). The Marketplace homepage (originally launched in December 2012) now delivers more editorial content to the site, with Featured Brands and Featured Collections both represented above users' personalized feed, which is generated from their Envies. Together, the new features paired with the existing social shopping aspect create a humanized e-commerce experience.

"Our community is filled with tens of thousands of amazing stories that are waiting to be told, and now our shopping experience lets brands tell them," says Crawford. "More and more, people buy things because of their meaning and the story behind that thing -- not just because of how it looks or what it costs. We've found that brands who are good at storytelling tend to be much more successful -- and that inspired this evolution."
