Stormwater Pollution Prevention Training Offered by National Experts in St. Louis, Missouri

SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwire - November 26, 2007) - Water quality is one of the nation's toughest challenges. Local water-quality professionals need national expertise to tackle community water pollution issues. StormCon, the world's largest stormwater pollution prevention conference, will present four full-day workshops, taught by the nation's leading experts, on the most relevant stormwater pollution prevention techniques on Thursday, November 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel in St. Louis, MO. St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District Director of Engineering Brian Hoelscher will open the workshops at 8:15 a.m. with a talk on the past, present, and future of stormwater management in the greater St. Louis area. Guest Speaker Brian Hoelscher, P.E., Director of Engineering, St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District

Hoelscher is the director of engineering for the fourth largest sewer district in the nation, by miles of sanitary and storm sewer, and is responsible for managing a multibillion-dollar capital improvement program for the St. Louis area. He received his bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering from Washington University and is a licensed engineer in Missouri and Illinois. Hoelscher has 25 years of engineering and construction management experience and has been with the district for 12 years.
