Storyboard Tales Wins Empixx Award

Judges Describe the Internet Video Series as "Addictive"

GRAND FORKS, ND--(Marketwire - September 14, 2010) -  Grand Forks filmmaker, Les Sholes, has recently won an Empixx Award for his Internet Video Series "" The website features a series of illustrated, dark, comedic videos reminiscent of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and "The Twilight Zone." The narrated episodes are between 30-50 seconds in length and contain an average of 10 sketches each.

The Empixx Award competition is symbolic of the electric motion picture industry. The 2010 competition was open to the United States and Canada and received almost 700 entries. Each entry was judged on a standard of excellence. Awards were honored in five categories such as TV Commercials, TV Programs, Corporate Videos, Internet Moving Pixels and Independent Films and Videos.

Les Sholes, creator of "," won in the Internet Moving Pixels category and received the Platinum Award, the highest honor in the competition.

Sholes said he is pleased with the judges' comments in saying that the series is "addictive" since that was his exact marketing strategy going into the project.

Sholes said his goal was to produce a series of super-short films, artistically crafted and incorporating bizarre, twisted events and creepy characters. Each video features an unpredictable ending, created specifically to make the viewer want to watch them repeatedly.

Sholes teamed up with Google AdSense, the world's largest advertising network. Google AdSense displays advertising banners of various companies on the "" website.

The website consists of four attractive, easy to navigate pages to watch the videos at no charge to the viewer.
