Strategic Management & Opportunity Corporation LOI and NDA Agreements With Tribe Studios

CLINTON, WA--(Marketwire - February 24, 2011) - Strategic Management & Opportunity Corporation (PINKSHEETS: SMPP) announced today that it has signed LOI and NDA agreements with Tribe Studios, a technology startup in Singapore that specializes in providing virtual spaces and simulations over the web, which includes vacation and business destinations around the world.

Tribe Studios' underlying technology allows the potential visitors to scout out their vacation or business destinations online, to preview hotels, restaurants and local attractions, and to perform simulated "dry runs" of what they getting into prior to making the real physical visitation. While the video creation and streaming offered by VSP allows advertisers to "make real" what consumers see in the virtual spaces created by Tribe Studios.

According to SMPP CEO, Julienne Audette, by streaming video into the virtual facilities or destinations, the vacation becomes more "real," reinforcing the visual and emotional experience that the virtual space creates. While virtual world technology is a relatively new comer to marketing, early research indicates that the 3D experience creates a sense of belonging and ownership in consumers making them more inclined to both browse and make purchases in that environment. The real world reinforcement of video only serves to enhance that connection to the places and experiences consumers can access through the virtual marketplace.

"We are extremely pleased to be building a working relationship with Tribe Studios," says Audette. "The mixed reality platform is a great way to engage people in their favorite vacation spots, make plans and reservations and pick out their hotel rooms in advance. The addition of video only serves to reinforce what people are seeing on the virtual website and gives those advertisers with video reach beyond the virtual platform out onto the rest of the Internet as well."

Audette says that both companies are eager to bring their technologies together and have already started looking at how these two architectures, video and mixed reality technology, can marry together in markets beyond vacation spots, and into areas such as real estate and interior design.

"Since both companies are just launching their technologies, we have the flexibility to create opportunities," says Audette. "It will take a little time to put it all together but when we look at the potential here, it's hard not to get excited."

Audette also indicated that the formal announcement for the live launch of the much anticipated Video Sales Platform (VSP) will follow in the coming days.

"Everyone is eager to know 'when.' We are just putting the finishing touches on a deal we have been working on for the past several months before we make the formal announcement," said Audette. "We appreciate how patient everyone has been while we work behind the curtain. The beta site looks good and works well and we can't wait to bring the site live and let the real work begin."
