Strategic Mining Corp (SMNG) Announces Management Site Visit to Its Nat Son Gold Property in Northern Vietnam

NEW YORK, NEW YORK--(Marketwire - Jan. 19, 2011) - Strategic Mining Corporation (PINK SHEETS:SMNG) reported today that company president Todd Sterck has recently been on site at its Nat Son gold property in northern Vietnam. Mr. Sterck has several reasons for visiting the property at this time, including:

  • In advance of a planned drill program at the site, he was overseeing the surveying of drill locations as outlined in geologist Bob Marvin's geological report.
  • Mr. Sterck collected additional surface rock samples for testing by ALS Chemex in Vancouver. Assay results from two previous surface sampling programs at the property yielded gold values as high as 47.3 g/t. and silver values as high as 228 g/t.
  • Mr. Sterck met with the governor and other officials of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh Province to negotiate a further expansion of its exploration and mining license at Nat Son.

"Our company is extremely optimistic about the gold resource potential at Nat Son based on the findings of our two geological investigations of the property," Mr. Sterck said. "We look forward with great anticipation to the commencement of the drill program, and we believe 2011 will be a momentous year for Strategic Mining Corporation and for our shareholders."

Mr. Sterck arrived at the Nat Son gold property on January 3, 2010 and has recently returned from Vietnam.
