Strategic Mining Corp. (SMNG) Announces Significant Gold and Silver Assay Results

NEW YORK, NEW YORK--(Marketwire - Dec. 14, 2010) - Strategic Mining Corporation (PINK SHEETS:SMNG) is pleased to announce significant gold and silver assay results from 18 rock samples collected at surface from its Nat Son gold property in northern Vietnam.

The samples returned gold values ranging from .01 grams per ton up to 17.7 grams per ton and silver values ranging from 0.4 grams per ton up to 11.8 grams per ton.

Four of the samples (NSR-126 to NSR-129 in the accompanying chart) were collected during a corporate reconnaissance of the property, with the remaining 14 samples gathered during a three-day geologic investigation by consulting geologist Hassan Alief as part of his preparation of the first NI 43-101 compliant technical report on the property.

Nat Son is located in Vietnam's Hoa Binh province about 50 kilometers south west of Hanoi in the center of the gold-rich Kim Boi deposit.

Quality Control and Assurance

All of the samples were analyzed by ALS Chemex in Vancouver, BC, Canada. M. Hassan Alief, CPG, who is a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101, had chain-of-custody for the 14 samples he personally collected. Mr. Alief delivered the samples directly to the office of DHL in Hanoi and shipped them to ALS Chemex in Vancouver. The samples were analyzed by induction plasma for 33 elemental specs and gold.
