Strategic Mining Corp (SMNG) Mobilizes Drill Rig to Nat Son Gold Property in Northern Vietnam

The Junior Gold Mining Company Plans to Conduct a Deep-Hole Drill Program at the Site, Which Has Produced Surface Samples with Gold Values As High As 47.3 g/t.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK--(Marketwire - Jan. 13, 2011) - Strategic Mining Corporation (PINK SHEETS:SMNG) reported today it has mobilized a diamond-core angular drill rig to its Nat Son gold property in northern Vietnam, where assay results from two surface sampling programs have yielded gold values as high as 47.3 g/t.

Nat Son is located in Hoa Binh province about 50 kilometers south west of Hanoi in the center of the gold-rich Kim Boi deposit.

The drill rig, a state-of-the-art Boart Longyear LF 70, will be used to conduct a planned deep-hole drill program at the site. The Boart Longyear LF 70 is a versatile track-mounted drill rig with a modular design that enables drilling in challenging geographic terrains and in all seasons of the year.

"We're excited that we're now rapidly approaching implementation of our planned drill program at Nat Son," said Strategic Mining President Todd Sterck. "The Boart Longyear LF 70 is a robust and flexible drill rig that will allow us to explore previously inaccessible areas of the property. As well, it has angular drilling capability, which will support precise targeting of high-interest vein extensions identified by our geology report."

The drill rig was shipped on January 10 and is scheduled to arrive by boat at Hai Phong in mid February. From there, it will travel overland to the Nat Son site.

Strategic Mining will be the first company to use an angular drill rig in Hoa Binh province. The company has received strong support from the provincial government for importing advanced mining technology into the region.
